The 1st December 2010 started the project Isabel: “Interactive Social Media for Integration, Skills Bartering, Empowerment and Informal Learning”, funded by the Transversal Programme KA3 ICT of the LLP Programme of the European Commission. ISABEL’ story stems from at distance dialogue among some of the partners and overall inspiration to the work of Peoples Voice Media, a not for profit community development organization that has been working with communities since 1995, specializing in using social media as a community engagement tool. Starting from PVM good practices, Isabel seeks to reinterpret them and adapt them to its variety of contexts and target groups. TARGET GROUPS: - Scholastic Community : pupils and teachers - Professional community (social workers, educators and health workers) - Immigrants adults and intergenerational community within neighborhood contexts - University Students Community
